This Spring, Cox Farms has been hosting their “Smoking’ Saturdays,” filled with some delicious barbecue and farm life fun. The farm stand at the roundabout on Braddock and Pleasant Valley Roads is open for business, and you can buy vegetable plants for your garden and hanging flower baskets for the porch—you can’t beat their selection of tomato and pepper plants!
It’s always fun to visit the chickens and goats, while Chewy, the llama, stands guard. There are also plenty of Instagram-worthy props set up throughout the property, many of them salvaged from the annual Fall Festival. Of course, my favorite is the gorilla statue, but the giant yellow Adirondack chair brings a smile to my face every time I drive past it.
Cox Farms is a Centreville fixture and we are lucky to have it right here in our own backyard. The pandemic may have slowed down their events for a while, but it looks like they are getting back up to speed with events being held just about every weekend, so swing by and grab a bite to eat next weekend!
