The heat was on full blast, so it felt great to seek refuge in the air-conditioned Dulles Expo Center over the weekend for the DC Big Flea and hunt for some vintage treasures.
The DC Big Flea is held several times a year, and treasure hunters from far and wide descend on the Dulles Expo Center looking for vintage items and antiques. No matter what your interest, if it’s vintage, you can find something of interest at the Big Flea. The crowd at this weekend’s show was fairly sparse, and the aisles were nice and wide, which made for an enjoyable browsing experience. I found a few treasures and of course ended up wishing I had bought a few more. But that’s okay, because the show will return on July 30-31.
